MMCITÉ Brno - ČEZ Basketball Nymburk (62:88)

Tough match for the Brno guys against the multiple league winner Nymburk. Brno seemed quite nervous in the beginning and they lost the first quarter 5:25. Nymburk took the chance and made an impressive lead. From the photo point of view, I was quite surprised with the lighting in Morenda stadium. Most of the shots were up to 3k iso with 1/800 at 2.8. On the other hand the plays are so quick, that you make few shots and it is end of the match :) So good luck next time Brno!

Emmanuel Sanders hits sports photographer

If you are a sports photographer you know these things will probably happen one day, but still you hope that it wont happen to you.

Sunday's unfortunate hit by Emmanuel Sanders was a reminder that indeed the insurence is a really good thing ! :)

This hit reminded me on my "double hit" in two matches in the row during the Ice Hockey Playoffs which ended up with my 70-200 in repair service. Luckily no glass was broken.

Hard to say how ended up this guy in Sunday's match Broncos vs Patriots. But I hope that the camera worked for the rest of the match ;)

Rugby European Championship U20 - Czech Republic won the GOLD!

The guys from Czech Republic won the gold in rugby European Championship U20. What an amazing match, after first half they were loosing with Switzerland 5-16, but in the second half they turn it over and won 25-21. The last TD by Jan Školař was really close. Thrilling end brought them gold medals and European title. Congratulation!!

KLAGENFURT A1 GRAND SLAM

Where to better spend a weekend than at the beach :) This one was in Klagenfurt, Austria and luckily there was FIVB KLAGENFURT A1 GRAND SLAM in beach volleyball. The weather was little bit too hot for a photographer on the center court :) but the water splashes helped a little bit. I never saw such an amazing crowd. The fans were totally crazy and beautifully synchronized. The finals and the ceremony was all about Brazil as you can see from the pictures :)

Petr Benda - shooting with one light

I had great opportunity to make a shoot with one of the best basketball players in Czech Republic and my friend Petr Benda. The setup was very easy, I used my 5D Mark III with 24-105 f4, one Speedlite 600EX-RT and transmitter ST-E3-RT. The speedlight was set on highspeed sync and it was inside the softbox from Lastolite (76x76cm Ezybox). The settings were manual usually 1/400, f4, iso 100. The light was perfect , it was right after the sun set with creamy blue sky.  Here are the results, let me know what do you think.

Brno Pitbulls vs Přerov Mammoths ( 36 : 26 )

"The winner takes it all" match between Pitbulls and Mammoths decipher the riddle who is gonna advance to the play off in CLAF C league. Luckily Of course the Pitbulls won ! They took the lead i the beginning 20:6 and kept pushing until the end.

Zlatá Tretra - Golden Spike - IAAF World Challenge - 2014

I travel to Ostrava with friends to shoot Zlatá tretra on Tuesday. It was my first IAAF World Challenge that I had the opportunity to visit, and it was a blast. For a photographer it is a little bit busy, you are just jumping from one corner of the stadium to the other, trying to catch all the winners and sport disciplines. The schedule and organization was so quick that there was no time to eat or drink :) With my 70-200mm I was small player, but I tried to catch some specific images that you can usually miss with 400 :) But I wish I had one :D

Alligators vs PBP ( 27 : 57 )

Today's start of the match was very promising for Brno Alligators, as they lead after the first 2 quarters 27:13. Unfortunately in the second half the PBP woke up and crushed Alligators with 44 points.

European Championship finals Austria vs Germany ( 27 : 30 )

Come to Vienna, they said. It will be fun, they said !!! And it was! What a weekend, if you missed the European Championship finals in american football, search for videos or re-stream, because this match was filled with action, crazy plays, and double OT. The stadium was filled with 27000 people, and the crowd was loud as hell. Don't wanna mention that I forgot again to take my ear plugs :D Unfortunately the home Austrians lost the match due to unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the end. For me it was again an amazing experience, to shoot such match is a dream come true for every photographer and american football fan :) See you next year on World Championship in Sweden ;)

Alligators vs Stallions ( 42 : 16 )

Finally after I missed few matches of Brno Alligators I was able to come and shoot. Alligators crushed Stallion immediately in first quarter with 3 TDs and the match was almost over. Because of the score the match was not so tense, but at the end we saw some hard hits :)

GOLD - FIVB Prague Breach 2014 World Tour !

WE HAVE GOLD! ! ! !

Congratulation to Maki and Kiki for winning the World Tour Prague Open 2014 in beach volleyball !

Early in the morning at 6:00 I jumped into my car and went from Brno to Prague, to shoot semifinals and finals. I knew that Kristýna Kolocová and Markéta Sluková made it to the semifinals, and I wished that they could reach finals. The dream come true and I had this unique opportunity to make amazing pictures when they won the gold for the first time on the World Tour. What an experience! The crowd was extremely noisy, I still hear the trumpets. Here, take a look at some pictures:

World Championship in ninepins 2014 - finals

The best ninepins players fought today for the world title. Men finals with Tamás Kiss, Kakuk Levente and women finals with Sina Beisser and Luminita Viorica Dogaru.

We saw almost another world record, but Kakus slipped in the last throw and didn't get it. It was great experience to shoot this event though the light in Vodova hall is not the best one :) Congratulation to the winners!
